Description:
This seminar will critically explore possibilities for decolonial, transformative, and liberatory research and praxis. The seminar format will include a combination of presentations and participatory engagement. After an introduction to decolonization in theory and practice, the seminar will include a panel discussion by current TSC students on their ongoing research focused on the tensions between police abolition and reform; an exploration of autoethnographic and ethnoautobiographical approaches to research and liberatory praxis, and a participatory engagement with storytelling as an example of decolonized praxis.
