Fri, Jan 14, 02:00 PM - 05:00 PM PDT

This session is Open to:

All of Saybrook Community (Faculty, Students, Staff, etc..)

Description:

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is an evidence-based, person-centered intervention that addresses the common problem of ambivalence regarding change. This session will focus predominantly on experiential activities, with an emphasis on role plays. It is helpful if participants have some background knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, although it’s not required. There will be a brief didactic component, but the majority of the session will be focused on practice. The instructor is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
