Description:
This will be an introduction to Clinical Interventions I and required for those students enrolled in PSY3045A for spring 2022. We will go over some of the basics of the course and then dive into a preliminary discussion of existential-humanistic therapies with a particular focus on Carl Rogers’ Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). There will be an experiential exercise for students to introduce to themselves some of the fundamentals of PCT. If time allows, we will begin a brief overview of Emotion-Focused Therapy.
