Description:
In this interactive workshop facilitated by advanced students and clinical faculty, we will focus on skills related to practicum and internship training, including such aspects as locating, preparing for, and surviving practicum and internship. A student panel will share their experiences throughout the practicum and internship process, including applying and interviewing for placements, relationships with supervisors and peer-trainees, ethical dilemmas encountered at their sites, self-care approaches and techniques, and growth both as a clinician and as a person through the clinical training. General discussion and Q&A will follow, culminating in practical recommendations for students and potential program implications.
