What is Education Beyond Borders?
Education Beyond Borders was born at the intersection of global engagement and cross-disciplinary collaboration. This international virtual experience cultivates a deeper understanding of topics that affect countries around the world. Education Beyond Borders will be offered as a micro-credential program awarding a digital badge of completion.
What is the theme for Education Beyond Borders 2021?
Education Beyond Borders 2021: Good Health and Well-being is anchored around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #3 to Ensure Healthy Lives and Promote Well-being for All at All Ages. Open to students and alumni from TCSPP, Saybrook, Pacific Oaks, The Colleges of Law, and our Global Partner Institutions, Education Beyond Borders will seek to understand the psychological, social, educational, legal, healthcare and intercultural perspectives within the context of global health and well-being.
Education Beyond Borders participants will gain global perspective and strategic planning skills. Most importantly, participants will impact their communities while working to transform themselves into global agents of change.
Micro-credential:
Micro-credential Description
Open to all students & alumni from our TCS partner institutions, as well as global partner network, this micro-credential includes online modules addressing the topic of good health & well-being from a cross-disciplinary, global perspective. Modules open on November 5, and are to be completed by December 3. Upon completion, participants of the micro-credential units, participants will be awarded an Education Beyond Borders digital badge.
Eligibility:
- Students & Alumni from TCS Institutions and Global Partner Network
- All applicants must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
- All applicants must hold a college degree or be currently enrolled in a degree program
Micro-credential Opens: November 5, 2021
Micro-credential Closes: December 3, 2021
Program Fee: A free opportunity for our TCS Community

In 2018, we studied the topic of identity in Johannesburg and Cape town, South Africa. Needless to say, it was an experience none of us will forget.
