The panel discussion will explore a series of key questions around supporting community-engaged research and innovation in Edmonton.

Topics discussed will include the role of community-engaged research in addressing complex societal issues seen in our city, the conditions needed for community-university relationships to be successful and sustainable, and systemic shifts needed to support community engagement, student learning and social accountability.

David is the Assistant Vice President of Research Strategy and Impact at York University, where he acts as the administrative lead for all research programs and oversees their impact on local and global communities. He also the Network Director for Research Impact Canada and serves on knowledge mobilization committees around the world.
