WHAT: Building on the success of the inaugural Canadian Symposium on Long COVID hosted by the Fonds de recherche du Québec and the Long COVID Web in September 2023, Alberta is pleased to host the 2024 Canadian Symposium on Long COVID.

 

WHO: The symposium will bring together people with lived experience of Long COVID, policymakers, clinicians, trainees, researchers and others.

 

WHY: To discuss the latest innovations and scientific developments in Long COVID. Sessions are planned on treatments of Long COVID, pediatric Long COVID, the spectrum of lived experience, among others.

 

WHEN: October 3-4, 2024

 

WHERE: This event will take place in person in Edmonton. It will be broadcast online for those who cannot attend in person.

 

In-person attendance will be limited to 150 people. Prevention measures will be in place (masking and hotel has state-of-the art ventilation system).

 

COST: Tickets are required for both in-person and virtual attendance. Tickets are provided after registration.

 

Early bird rates for In-Person attendance:

People with Lived Experience - $100

Trainees (Graduate Students, Residents, Postdoctoral) - $150

Researchers/Clinicians/Policymakers - $200

 

Early bird rates for Virtual attendance:

People with Lived Experience - $20

Trainees (Graduate Students, Residents, Postdoctoral) - $30

Researchers/Clinicians/Policymakers - $40

Ticket prices have been established in consultation with our Patient Advisory Council and the current rates are subsidized for people with lived experience (PWLE) and trainees. We aim to enhance accessibility while maintaining a financially viable and sustainable approach for our events.
