27th International Plant Resistance To Insects Symposium

Tue, Apr 7, 2026 - Thu, Apr 9, 2026

Damage from insects and other arthropods costs farmers and consumers billions of dollars annually. Host-plant resistance is one management tool that can be and has been used to limit damage and loss from pest arthropods.

The International Plant Resistance to Insects (IPRI) working group is an affiliation of researchers and practitioners that are advancing the development and use of plants with resistance to insects and other arthropods. IPRI has held a biennial workshop since 1974.

The 27th Biannual International Plant Resistance to Insects (IPRI) Symposium will take place in Canmore, AB, Canada, at the Coast Canmore Hotel and Conference Centre from April 7-9, 2026. For information on tourism in Canmore you can visit https://www.explorecanmore.ca/
